Urban archaeology in the center of Florence: 3D Laser Scanner Survey and 3D Modeling  workshop, in Florence, Italy, October, 2012.

An introductory workshop that explains the potential of documenting historical sites through laser scanning. During the workshop the participants were exposed to working on-site with a laser scanner and were shown how to process point clouds to extract architectural drawings. The case-study of this workshop was medieval parts of a church that have been built upon, within the Uffizi in Florence.
